DESKTOP EDGE DECK

Your working notes.
At the edge of Windows.

MINO is a free desktop edge deck for Windows 10 and 11. Keep sticky notes for your current task in screen-edge tabs: talking points, references and checklists. Hover to read a note and click when you need to edit.

Choose an installer or a portable executable

The Windows installer is the straightforward choice for a PC where you want to set up MINO for your Windows account. The portable executable runs without installing MINO. Both packages support the same edge-deck workflow: a small set of notes within reach, with a library behind them.

Portable describes how the application runs. It does not turn your notes into a self-contained USB vault. Notes still live in your local Windows user profile, and the Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime is required for either package. If you move to a different account or computer, use MINO’s backup and export options to transfer your data deliberately.

Download and open MINO on your PC

  1. Open the MINO download section and choose Windows installer or Windows portable. Review the displayed version and package requirements.
  2. Choose Download directly, or optionally share your email for MINO updates before downloading. An email address is not required to get the app.
  3. Run the installer for a normal setup, or run the portable executable if you chose that package. Follow your computer’s normal software policies.
  4. Open the library, create a short note and pin it to your edge deck. Hover its tab to preview it; click to make a change.

The download section checks current release information. Its Release details option provides package names, sizes and SHA-256 checksums. Check the package you are actually choosing rather than assuming every platform uses the same release label. Keep your existing data and backups when updating.

Keep a reference beside the task in front of you

Before a call, put three talking points in a note and pin it. While writing a document, keep a few specifications or a useful snippet in another tab. For a recurring task, use a short checklist and update it as you work. The deck is the place for what you need now; unpin a note when its job is finished.

These are working references you prepare yourself. MINO does not need to record a meeting or transcribe a conversation to keep your agenda in reach. Try the interactive homepage example to see the difference between peeking at a tab and opening its compact editor before installing the desktop application.

Offline notes, without another account

Writing, searching and organizing notes work offline after setup. Notes are stored on your device, and MINO does not require an account. Downloading the app and obtaining a required runtime may need an internet connection. This website’s optional email form is separate from your desktop notes.

Use Settings → Data & recovery to review backup options. Exports to text and Markdown are readable files, so store them with the same care as any other personal document. For the underlying workflow, read the screen-edge notes guide; if you also use a Mac, review its separate package requirements.
