One universal DMG for Apple Silicon and Intel
The Mac download is a universal application distributed as a DMG. It supports both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs on macOS 13.3 or later. You do not need to choose between separate processor downloads on this site. Check your macOS version before downloading, and review the package information if you are updating an existing installation.

The Mac and Windows packages are published independently. A Mac release label can differ from a Windows label without changing which operating system the file supports. The homepage’s download section displays current package information, and Release details lists the file name, size and checksum so you can review the exact attachment.
Install or update MINO on macOS
- Open the download section and choose the macOS universal DMG. Review the displayed release and requirements.
- Use Download directly, or choose the optional email-and-download path if you want MINO updates. The desktop app does not require a MINO account.
- Quit MINO before replacing an existing copy. Open the DMG and put MINO in Applications, replacing the previous application when updating.
- Keep your existing vault and keys. Open MINO, create a small working note in the library and pin it to the deck.
Installation is manual. Follow macOS security prompts and your device’s software policies. Downloading an application does not grant permission to bypass a managed computer’s restrictions. If setup behaves differently from these steps, keep the release label and macOS version handy when reporting the problem.
Peek at an agenda without losing your place
A useful starting point is one note for your next call: the question you need to ask, a detail you want to mention and a decision to confirm. Pin that note, then hover its screen-edge tab when you want to read it. Click to edit if the conversation changes your next step. You choose and write the content; this is a reference workflow, not automatic meeting capture.
The same pattern works while writing or designing. Put a short specification beside the document you are editing, or keep a checklist for the current task. When you finish, unpin the note instead of letting the deck grow into another crowded workspace. Search the library when you need to bring a reference back.
Your notes stay on this Mac
MINO stores notes locally and supports writing, searching and organizing while offline. No account is required for the desktop app. The website’s email form is optional, and submitting an email does not upload your desktop library. Downloading and installation may still require internet access.
Local storage also means you should plan your backups. Review Settings → Data & recovery before replacing a computer or moving private notes. Text and Markdown exports are readable; protect those files appropriately. Do not assume that using MINO on Windows and Mac automatically synchronizes their libraries. For a workflow you can apply on either platform, read the screen-edge notes guide.
